Charge It! Which Card -- You Decide
The Supreme Court recently decided a case that prohibits merchants from steering customers to (or away from) certain credit cards. Specifically, a challenge was made that American Express's restrictions on steering customers away from its cards were unconstitutional. As the Court noted, American Express charges merchants more when they use its cards than it does when a customer uses a Visa or MasterCard charge card. The case is Ohio v American Express.
