Facebook — Listening In?

While a bit different than the posts normally made on this site, a recent article discusses technology that would allow Facebook to listen in on conversations that occur while watching television.  As technology continues to evolve.  And what was once viewed as science fiction becomes reality, we may find ourselves in world where the law will need to catch up business practices.

Charge It! Which Card -- You Decide

The Supreme Court recently decided a case that prohibits merchants from steering customers to (or away from) certain credit cards.  Specifically,  a challenge was made that American Express's restrictions on steering customers away from its cards were unconstitutional.  As the Court noted, American Express charges merchants more when they use its cards than it does when a customer uses a Visa or MasterCard charge card.  The case is Ohio v American Express . www.JackRoseLaw.com  Posts in this blog contain discussions of general principles of law and cases.
